The legendary military ambulance comes back to life as the UAZ 3962 AMC Medical Van; with an all-metal box body and a high torsion steel ladder frame on four leaf springs. Both axles are solid, which maintains longevity and durability of the whole chassis, while keeping the operating and maintenance costs low. The UAZ 3962 AMC Medical Van is also suitable for conversion to a special purpose vehicle (SG) as a mobile workshop, technical support, rescue or expedition modification. The standard 4-seat configuration can be changed into a 2-seater.

The vehicle is currently unavailable.

This modern spark-ignition 16V engine is equipped with BOSCH fuel injection.  It provides maximal output and torque in low revs, which implies its fundamental advantage in harsh off-road operation. During the on-road operation it offers swift moving offs and cultivated running. Its sufficient output and gear ratios enable problem-free motorway operation. This engine type is suitable for a modification to LPG fuel and can be diagnosed via OBD connector.

The UAZ 3962 AMC Medical Van has two gearboxes. The main gearbox is a fully synchronized 5-speed manual and the second is an additional 2-speed low range gearbox, operated manually by a gearshift lever reachable from the driver's seat. There is another gearshift lever for manual 4x4 connection in the interior.  This construction design is very simple, therefore it ensures a long lifespan and true reliability.

Equipment

The Medical Van is a glass-walled utility van with a spacious cargo storage space of 5,400 litres divided by a bulkhead. Three additional seats take up minimum space in the rear. Bed bindings are standard equipment as true to the original ambulance.
